2 Timothy 4:7-8 (ESV)

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

So it’s Friday.  The end of the work week.  Typically, around Wednesday we are all asking, “Is it Friday yet?”  Why?  Mostly because we are looking forward to the weekend.  It usually marks the time we get paid and the beginning of our time of rest.  So the week is done, but did you finish?  Like, did you complete what God has called you to do this week?

I think we settle when we just going through the motions of the week and not fulfill the purpose of that week.  Life is short people.  Don’t waste a week.  Paul wrote to Timothy telling him, “I have finished the race.”  I don’t believe he said this in pride, but to exemplify the importance of finishing.
