3 JOHN‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬
“Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].”

We’ve been talking a lot about the soul lately at Fervent Church.  I want to continue to emphasize the fact that as complex as the soul can be at times, it could be understood to the degree we need to grasp it.  It’s the spiritual part of who we are.  It’s the center of who we are and the very thing God wants to save.  It is our desire for all disciples to confidently know that it is well within our souls.  This verse today makes a connection between the physical and the spiritual…

The author prays that the recipients of this letter’s external/visible world eventually catches up to their internal/invisible world.  How would your world look like if it was an exact representation of what was going on inside of you?  I know it’s not always the case because there have been times in my life and in others where spiritually it’s great but the circumstances do not match.  Knowing what’s going on in your soul, could you pray this prayer with confidence? Let’s focus today on getting our soul healthy and keeping it healthy.  May we prosper as our soul prospers.
