Psalm 34:1 I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.
Psalm 34: 17-18 The righteous cry out, and the Lordhears them;
he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Lordis close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
This morning Psalm 34 has been in my path. It’s a passage that is mind blowing and at times hard to choose. There are two verses that I want to highlight, Psalm 34:1; Psalm 34: 17-18. These passages state and declare two different stages of life, one praising and one being totally crushed and broken hearted.
This morning, you may feel extremely weak, not even wanting to praise or even wake up, but good news friend, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Soaking in your negativity may seem like a comfy pillow but I want to encourage you and challenge you today escape in the comfort of verses 17 and 18. Escape into the safety and the saving arms of the Father when your spirit is crushed, and then find joy in declaring his praise.
